Max's cake for Grandma

Proud mummy post: Here is the cake my little boy, Max, decorated for his grandma's birthday. While I was making my Peppa pig and Octonauts cakes, which I previously posted, Max was busily working away on his own characters. We used them to decorate Grandma's cake for her recent birthday. Notice the smiley 'worm' hiding amongst the balls around the bottom edge of the cake. :-)

Farewell cupcakes

I made some cupcakes for my husband to take to work on his last day with his company. WP were the initials of the company; PW are my husband's initials!

Mermaid cake

I made this cake for a charity called The Cake Angels. They are an organisation who organise volunteers to make cakes for children and families who are facing serious medical challenges or other hardships. This cake was made for a 12 year-old girl from Vanuatu, who loves the ocean. On top is a 6" white chocolate mud cake, and the bottem tier is an 8" dark chocolate mudcake. The ombre ruffle effect was chosen to replicate the waves of the ocean.

Fantasy flower

My first square cake with quilting effect and a beautiful fantasy flower. I went to a class being run by La Torta, my favourite cake decorating shop in Canberra. I was very happy with the result; simple yet very elegant!

Baby shower cake

Here is a cake I made for my own baby shower, a small get-together with the grandparents. There was an extra surprise inside - we decided to reveal the sex of our baby, which we'd found out the week before!
