When Mr 3's birthday came around this year, most of my cake decorating supplies were still in storage after our recent around-Australia-trip. So I had to improvise a little and concentrated on the cake topper only, using the limited tools that I had. I made Dory, studying pictures carefully to make her look just right, and sat her atop a coral reef which then became the cake topper. I iced the cake simply with buttercream icing and was very happy with the final result.
